Consultations start at $125 per hour.

For those wanting a full landscape design, consultation fees are included in the final cost of the design.

How long are your consultations?

Consultations are booked as one-hour appointments with an additional hour reserved in case we go overtime.

For those wanting consultation-only services, additional time beyond the initial hour will be charged at $100 per hour in 15-minute increments.

For formal design consultations, we schedule time on-site for additional photos, measurements, and site notes. There is no additional charge for this time. You do not need to be on-site for this site evaluation, but you are more than welcome to hang out and chat plants!

What is included in a consultation?

Consultations are the foundation for the next life stage of your landscape! We will discuss potential plant selection, hardscape enhancements, placements, and identify any pest issues that may be of concern. Consultation includes on-site sketches, notes taken during the visit, list of plants discussed, and an outline of recommended actions to take. I can provide you with the names of appropriate landscapers to contact.

What about a formal landscape design?

All landscape design plans are drafted in AutoCAD and come with, when applicable: a demolition plan, a hardscape/mulch plan, and a landscape/planting plan. Any consultation fees are rolled into the final cost of the design! Initial consultation includes a site evaluation where we discuss your vision for the landscape, we go over plant and hardscape preferences, and I take photos and measurements of the site. The final presentation package includes reference photos for hardscape items and a detailed master plant list with photos and information about each plant. The plans begin at $375 to $1000+ and include a follow-up meeting to discuss moderate revisions for the final draft. I can connect you with my choice of installers to help make the plan a reality.

How much do you charge for landscape design?

A rough breakdown of cost is as follows:

$375 for a planting bed or small area

$500 for ½ landscape (ie. front or backyard of a typical sized lot)

$750 for a full landscape (front and backyard of a typical sized lot) or a portion of a large lot (¼+ acre)

$1000+ for a large lot or complex designs requiring multiple details
